I'M OUT OF HERE... :(
Ok, here we go again! After "oes tsetnoc" it's now "
mma pound for pound". We will be battling again in the SEO battlefield and I see a lot of participants in the previous seo contest who are now again in this contest. As I check the rankings, only three so far has managed to the page one of the SERPs.
This is so since the keyword "mma pound for pound" is already optimized by sites that are not included in this contest; and they are real mma sites and not like this one that is intended only for the contest. That's one hurdle that contestants must pass - to overtake the old mma sites in the SERPs.
As you can see, this is the domain I used in the previous contest, and as a beginner, I was happy that this site barged into the top 20 finishers of the contest. Although I was not able to see the exact rank of this site at the end of the competition since I was in my Christmas vacation when the contest ended and there was no internet connection in the place.
I am using only a page this time in this contest. This could still be part of my experiment if a page alone can rank against the best seo practitioners with their sites. Again, I know that I can't win in this contest that I cannot build thousands of links to this page. Others just have the time to do it but placing in the top 20 would be again a great finish for me.

Update: I have already submitted this entry to the moderator and I am now waiting for the confirmation. The SERP is now populated by the same names in the oes tsetnoc contest.

As of this writing, this entry is yet to be approved by the moderator. There has been some changes in the SERPs and it has been dominated by some old names in the SEO world. I already made 1 link so far in this site :)

Update: It's been 5 days but my MMA Pound For Pound entry is not yet approved. Nevertheless, it is now ranked 43 in Google and I have already started building links just this morning. I hope I could again land to the top 20 of the finishers.
Update: 1/21/10 This site has been finally approved by the moderator. It has improved its rank to 36th and I am hoping that this mma pound for pound entry of mine will go up in the coming days.
Update: 1/30/10 I was absent for the last 10 days and has done nothing in this MMA Pound For Pound derby. I went to my home place and there was no internet in there so I was not able to go online and update this site. This is what happened also to my oes tsetnoc entry. I was in a vacation when the contest ended and I have no idea what was the final rank of my entry. Anyway, it seems it will happen again with my entry. I am having some projects in the very near future and I doubt if I could maintain my momentum in updating this site.
As of this writing, my entry is currently in the 26th position despite the long absence I incurred. I have already added 4 blog posts since I returned and according to google webmaster tools, this page has accumulated so far only 2 back links. I will be working a little bit harder in the coming days to catapult this page to the first page :D
